Electrolytes + minerals
Sodium (as Himalayan Pink Salt)
300 mg, 13% DV
Cellular hydration
Sodium is the primary extracellular electrolyte responsible for fluid regulation and cellular osmotic balance. Adequate sodium supports the movement of water into skin cells, maintaining turgor and suppleness.
Works synergistically with potassium to maintain the sodium-potassium pump, a key driver of cellular energy and moisture retention in the dermis.
Himalayan Pink Salt provides trace minerals including calcium, magnesium, and potassium alongside sodium, offering a broader mineral profile than refined sodium chloride.
Magnesium (as Magnesium Glycinate)
150 mg, 36% DV
Skin repair
Magnesium is a cofactor in over 300 enzymatic reactions, including protein synthesis and DNA repair, both critical to healthy skin cell turnover and collagen production.
Research links magnesium deficiency to increased skin inflammation, impaired barrier function, and heightened sensitivity. Adequate magnesium supports skin resilience and a calmer complexion.
The glycinate form provides superior bioavailability and gastrointestinal tolerance compared to magnesium oxide or citrate, making it the preferred form for supplementation.
Potassium (as Potassium Citrate)
200 mg, 4% DV
Cellular hydration
Potassium is the primary intracellular electrolyte and works in tandem with sodium to maintain fluid balance inside and outside skin cells, directly affecting skin plumpness and hydration.
Potassium deficiency is associated with dry, flaky skin and impaired wound healing. Adequate potassium supports the integrity of keratinocytes, the dominant cell type in the epidermis.
Zinc (as Zinc Citrate)
10 mg, 91% DV
Repair + clarity
Zinc is an essential cofactor for metalloenzymes involved in cell membrane repair, cell proliferation, and immune function. Zinc deficiency is directly linked to delayed wound healing and increased skin inflammation.
Zinc supports collagen deposition and extracellular matrix remodeling by accelerating granulation tissue formation and upregulating collagen-associated genes in healing tissue.
Zinc citrate is a highly bioavailable chelated form, offering improved absorption over zinc oxide or sulfate in oral supplementation.
Vitamins
Vitamin C (from Acerola Extract, 25%)
100 mg, 111% DV
Brightening + collagen
Required cofactor for prolyl and lysyl hydroxylase, the enzymes that stabilize and cross-link collagen's triple-helix structure. Without adequate Vitamin C, collagen formation is impaired, weakening skin architecture.
Inhibits tyrosinase activity, reducing melanin synthesis and contributing to a more even skin tone and reduced hyperpigmentation over time.
As the most abundant antioxidant in human skin, Vitamin C neutralizes UV-induced free radicals, protecting against photoaging and oxidative damage to the dermal matrix.
Acerola delivers Vitamin C alongside co-occurring polyphenols that may enhance bioavailability and antioxidant activity beyond isolated ascorbic acid.
Niacin (as Niacinamide / Vitamin B3)
16 mg NE, 100% DV
Brightening + barrier
Niacinamide inhibits the transfer of melanosomes from melanocytes to keratinocytes, directly reducing hyperpigmentation and producing a more uniform, luminous skin tone.
A 12-week double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study (n=50) found that 5% niacinamide significantly improved fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmented spots, texture, red blotchiness, and skin sallowness versus control.
Restores cellular NAD+ levels and mitochondrial energetics, attenuates oxidative stress, and strengthens the skin barrier by supporting ceramide, free fatty acid, and cholesterol synthesis in keratinocytes.
Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxal-5'-Phosphate)
25 mg, 1,471% DV
Skin metabolism
Pyridoxal-5'-Phosphate (P5P) is the active, bioavailable form of Vitamin B6, involved in over 100 enzymatic reactions including amino acid metabolism, directly supporting the synthesis of collagen precursor amino acids.
B6 plays a role in modulating inflammatory responses by regulating cytokine production, which can contribute to calmer, less reactive skin.
B6 deficiency has been associated with seborrheic dermatitis and skin lesions. Adequate B6 supports healthy sebum regulation and skin surface quality.
Biotin (1% Blend, yielding 2,500 mcg)
2,500 mcg, 8,333% DV
Hair, skin + nails
Biotin is a required coenzyme for carboxylase enzymes involved in fatty acid synthesis, the building blocks of the skin's lipid barrier. Deficiency is directly linked to skin rashes, brittle nails, and hair loss.
A 90-day randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study found that biotin supplementation significantly reduced hair fall, increased hair growth rate, improved skin elasticity, and reduced nail roughness (p < 0.0001).
At 2,500 mcg, H2Glow delivers the dose range most frequently cited in hair, skin, and nail research for meaningful keratin support.
HydraCollagen Matrix™, proprietary blend
HydraCollagen Matrix™ (L-Glycine, L-Proline, L-Lysine HCl)
1,500 mg total, 500 mg each
Collagen precursors
Glycine constitutes approximately 33% of all amino acids in collagen and is the central amino acid in the Gly-X-Y repeating sequence that forms collagen's triple-helix structure. Research has identified glycine as conditionally essential for collagen synthesis, as endogenous production cannot fully meet the body's daily demand for collagen renewal.
Proline and hydroxyproline together make up approximately 25% of collagen's amino acid composition. Proline reinforces the triple-helix and is required for hydroxylation steps (dependent on Vitamin C) that stabilize and cross-link collagen fibers.
L-Lysine HCl is an essential amino acid that forms cross-links within collagen, contributing to tensile strength and resilience. It also promotes fibroblast activity and is necessary for hydroxylysine formation, a structural component of mature collagen.
A 2023 ScienceDirect study demonstrated that elevated glycine, proline, and lysine concentrations significantly increase collagen synthesis in vitro, with glycine identified as the primary rate-limiting amino acid in the procollagen cycle.
Skin actives
Sodium Hyaluronate
250 mg
Deep hydration
As the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, Sodium Hyaluronate has a lower molecular weight than HA, enabling it to penetrate the epidermis and hydrate skin from deeper layers rather than simply coating the surface.
A 2025 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (n=150) published in Scientific Reports found that oral Sodium Hyaluronate at 120 mg/day significantly enhanced skin hydration, elasticity, and reduced periorbital wrinkle depth, while decreasing transepidermal water loss and increasing epidermal thickness versus placebo.
Sodium Hyaluronate holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water, providing both immediate surface plumping and sustained deep hydration. It also stimulates collagen production in dermal fibroblasts.
Pomella® Pomegranate Extract (30% punicalagins)
250 mg
Antioxidant + glow
Pomella is the only patented pomegranate extract standardized for punicalagin content with published clinical skin data. Punicalagins are the primary ellagitannin in pomegranate, among the most potent antioxidant polyphenols studied in skin health research.
A double-blind, placebo-controlled RCT found that 250 mg daily of Pomella (75 mg punicalagins) for 4 weeks produced statistically significant reductions in facial wrinkle severity, reduced forehead sebum, and beneficial shifts in the skin microbiome.
97.5% of subjects taking pomegranate extract reported improved skin radiance versus 35% in the placebo group in a published clinical supplementation study.
In vitro research shows punicalagin-rich pomegranate extract modulates collagen and hyaluronic acid metabolism, inhibits MMP-1 (a primary enzyme that degrades collagen), and reduces UV-induced ROS production in human fibroblasts.
Acerola Extract (25% Vitamin C)
400 mg whole extract
Whole-food antioxidant
Acerola (Malpighia emarginata) is one of the richest natural sources of Vitamin C, delivering 400 mg of whole extract yielding 100 mg of active Vitamin C. Listed separately from the Vitamin C DV line to reflect the full botanical contribution of the extract.
Beyond ascorbic acid, acerola delivers co-occurring polyphenols and bioflavonoids that work synergistically with Vitamin C to enhance antioxidant activity, potentially improving bioavailability over isolated ascorbic acid.
In a 12-week clinical study (n=72), a supplement containing acerola fruit extract alongside collagen peptides, zinc, and biotin significantly improved skin hydration, elasticity, roughness, and density versus placebo.
Green Tea Extract (50% EGCG)
100 mg
Antioxidant + anti-aging
EGCG is the most bioactive catechin in green tea, accounting for 50 to 80% of total catechin content. It operates through multiple simultaneous mechanisms: scavenging reactive oxygen species, inhibiting collagen-degrading enzymes (MMPs), and directly modulating inflammatory signaling pathways.
A 2022 systematic review of 21 studies found consistent evidence for EGCG's anti-wrinkle activity, increased skin cell proliferation, and reduced oxidative damage across both topical and oral applications.
EGCG exhibits antimelanogenic properties through tyrosinase inhibition and has demonstrated antiphotoaging and antiwrinkle activity attributed to its antioxidant power and ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production while inhibiting their degrading enzymes.
Bamboo Leaf Extract (70% Silica)
100 mg
Collagen + structure
Bamboo Leaf Extract is the richest known botanical source of organic silica, containing approximately 70%, roughly ten times the silica concentration of horsetail, the most common alternative source.
Silica is essential for collagen synthesis. Research demonstrates that silica stimulates fibroblasts to produce Type I collagen, the primary collagen found in skin, and silica levels decline with age in parallel with collagen reduction.
A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial found that biotin combined with bamboo-derived silica significantly increased skin elasticity (p < 0.0001) and improved hydration and wrinkle metrics over 90 days versus biotin alone.
Rice Phytoceramides Extract (10:1)
40 mg
Barrier + moisture lock
Ceramides are the primary lipid component of the stratum corneum, functioning as the 'mortar' between skin cells that prevents moisture loss and blocks environmental irritants. Ceramide levels decline with age, directly contributing to dryness, sensitivity, and visible wrinkling.
An open-label prospective study of oral rice ceramide supplementation in 50 participants found significant improvements (p < 0.01) in skin hydration, sebum production, firmness, elasticity, and wrinkle severity across three body regions.
A 12-week randomized study using rice-derived glucosylceramides demonstrated a 31.9% hydration improvement on the arm and 22.8% on the cheek versus baseline, with upregulation of filaggrin and ceramide synthase genes, meaning the skin is stimulated to produce more of its own ceramides.
Most clinical studies finding significant skin benefits use doses of approximately 40 mg/day, the exact dose in H2Glow.
Bromelain (600 GDU/g)
250 mg
Enzyme + anti-inflammatory
Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme complex derived from pineapple (Ananas comosus) with well-established anti-inflammatory, fibrinolytic, and wound-healing properties. In Europe it is approved for oral and topical use in post-surgical inflammation and wound debridement.
Bromelain reduces pro-inflammatory mediators including bradykinin, kinin, TNF-α, IL-4, IL-12, and IL-17, reducing systemic and skin inflammation that contributes to dullness, redness, and accelerated skin aging.
Bromelain accelerates recovery of blood perfusion and oxygen supply in wound tissue, raises TGF-β expression (a key growth factor for skin remodeling), and promotes fibroblast activation, mechanisms that contribute to skin repair and rejuvenation.
BioPerine® (Black Pepper Fruit Extract)
5 mg
Absorption enhancer
BioPerine is a patented standardized extract of black pepper (Piper nigrum) containing a minimum 95% piperine. Its primary function in the H2Glow formula is as a bioavailability enhancer, increasing the absorption of co-ingested nutrients.
Piperine has been clinically shown to enhance the bioavailability of multiple nutrients including Vitamin C, B vitamins, zinc, and polyphenols by inhibiting intestinal metabolizing enzymes and increasing gastrointestinal transit time.
By improving the absorption of H2Glow's key active ingredients, BioPerine acts as a force multiplier for the entire formula.
